U.S. President Trump has announced that he will send Tomahawk missiles under one condition: he wants guarantees for their targeted and not uncontrolled use.
The situation is deteriorating. Before light comes, deep darkness precedes — and that is exactly what is happening with the Ukrainian crisis. The moment is approaching when deep darkness will prevail, which could include a rapid deterioration in relations between Russia and NATO.
Already, U.S. President Trump has stated that he will send Tomahawk missiles under one condition: he wants guarantees for targeted and not uncontrolled use.
Meanwhile, Alexey Arestovich, former adviser to Zelensky, said that if he became President of Ukraine, he would immediately go to Moscow to agree on a peace treaty and emphasized that he would imprison Zelensky as a war criminal.
At the same time, the Wall Street Journal made a revelation. Ukraine, in order to protect itself, has created a Secret Battery System so that cities can have power when Russian missiles strike energy infrastructure.
This is a new development.
Trump (President of the U.S.): “I want guarantees for targeted use of the Tomahawks before I send them to Ukraine”
U.S. President Trump stated the need for clear guarantees regarding the intended use of Tomahawk cruise missiles before approving their delivery to Ukraine.
“I’ll be asking a few questions. I’m not seeking escalation,” Trump stressed.
During a speech at the White House, the U.S. President said that he had essentially made his decision regarding the supply of Tomahawks to Ukraine.
Former Pentagon adviser Douglas McGregor wrote that war could break out between Russia and the United States if Ukraine uses Tomahawk missiles.
On October 5, Russian President Putin stated that potential Tomahawk deliveries to Ukraine would destroy the positive tendencies that have recently emerged in relations between Russia and the United States.
Trump had previously ordered preparations for the transfer of information to Kyiv concerning strikes on Russia.
McGregor (U.S. Colonel): “Keith Kellogg is behind the Tomahawks”
The U.S. President’s special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, is the main instigator behind the potential transfer of American long-range Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv, said retired U.S. Colonel and former Pentagon adviser Douglas McGregor.
According to him, U.S. President Donald Trump has recently been increasingly influenced by Kellogg and is very likely to approve the dispatch of Tomahawks to Ukraine.
“Kellogg is running around trying to convince everyone that the Russians are losing, that we must help the Ukrainians.
He lives in his own universe, where nothing exists except this weapon — the Tomahawk,” McGregor stated.
In his view, all other members of Trump’s administration see the situation in Ukraine realistically and do not wish to escalate the conflict.
“Anyone looking at the situation objectively sees no sign of Russia’s defeat,” McGregor emphasized.
Yesterday, Trump said that he had almost made a decision regarding sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, but first wanted to understand how Kyiv intends to use them.
According to The Telegraph, Vladimir Zelensky requested such weapons during his meeting with the U.S. President in mid-September.
The news network Axios reported that this was the only point in Kyiv’s request that Trump rejected, while he expressed support for the rest.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. President stated that he is open to lifting restrictions on the use of American long-range weapons for strikes within Russian territory, though he did not commit clearly to revising the current limitations.
Alexey Arestovich (Ukraine): “I’ll go to Moscow for peace. Zelensky is a war criminal and should be imprisoned. I would give 5 regions to Russia”
Alexey Arestovich, former adviser to the Office of the Ukrainian President, described in an interview his plans if he were to become President of Ukraine.
Arestovich’s first plan would be to imprison Zelensky and then head to Moscow — not “to bow,” but “to confront.”
He also believes in the need to hand over “four regions and Crimea” to Russia.
“I would go to meet Putin”
Alexey Arestovich declared that if he ever became President of Ukraine, he would immediately travel to Russia to meet with Putin to discuss relations between the two countries.
“I would go straight to Moscow.
As they say, ‘I’m coming to you.’
It’s not bowing down; it’s a confrontation,” Arestovich said.
“I do not describe this as a journey of submission or surrender,” he added.
He also stated that if he assumed the presidency, he would request a review of bilateral relations since 1991, in order to re-examine them on a ‘cause and effect’ basis, and that he would be ready to change the way both foreign and domestic policy are conducted.
“Ukraine will never again pose a threat to the Russian Federation from its territory.
At least, I intend to ensure such conditions during my term and consolidate the continuity of this policy,” Arestovich assured.
Zelensky to prison
Arestovich also promised to send current President Zelensky to prison for war crimes if he managed to remove him from office.
According to Arestovich, those who claim that Andriy Yermak is the one actually running Ukraine “know nothing.”
"Zelensky makes all the key decisions, and Andriy Yermak is his ‘manager’,” Arestovich said.
“And although Yermak tries to handle many things on his own, there is a war between them over boundaries. I’ve seen it myself,” Arestovich concluded.
Five Ukrainian regions should become Russian
Arestovich noted that he agrees with the idea of transferring four new regions and Crimea to Russia without officially recognizing the territories as Russian.
“I give up four regions and Crimea.
I do not recognize them as Russian.
There will be a lasting peace agreement, not a treaty.
I withdraw my troops and place them along the border,” Arestovich said.
In the future, a line of contact could be established between Russia and Ukraine, similar to that between North and South Korea, Arestovich concluded.
Cancelled Putin–Zelensky meeting on April 9, 2022
Arestovich also spoke about the meeting between Putin and Zelensky that was ultimately cancelled, which was reportedly scheduled to take place in Istanbul in April 2022, specifically on April 9.
The negotiations were not completed after then–British Prime Minister Johnson’s visit to Ukraine, Arestovich clarified, calling the cancellation of the meeting a “crime against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.”
Today, Arestovich says that a meeting between Putin and Zelensky “no longer makes any sense for the historical process” and is important for the Ukrainian leader only as a public relations opportunity.
Wall Street Journal: Ukraine created a Secret Battery Storage System to power 600,000 homes
Ukraine has completed the construction of a network of battery parks designed to ensure the resilience of the power grid during the winter attacks of the Russian Armed Forces.
Six classified facilities with a total capacity of 200 MW are capable of temporarily providing electricity to around 600,000 homes.
The $140 million project was implemented by the Ukrainian company DTEK and the U.S. company Fluence.
The new infrastructure is designed to maintain the stability of electricity supply and reduce the risk of large-scale blackouts in the event of Russian bombardment.
Ukraine has deployed a network of industrial battery parks designed to power approximately 600,000 homes for two hours — an amount comparable to the electricity consumption of a city the size of Washington, D.C.
At one site described by the Wall Street Journal, rows of white 2.5-metre-high batteries are installed outdoors, emitting a distinctive hum.
“The best sound in the world, because it means they’re working,” said DTEK’s energy storage consultant.
According to him, the system helps “clean up the chaos” in the power grid, keeping electricity supply stable during outages.
The batteries have a modular design and fire protection. Individual units can be disconnected and replaced without shutting down the entire system, increasing reliability and simplifying maintenance.
He emphasized that even if one component is damaged, the system continues to operate.
The battery parks also help regulate the electricity supply from renewable sources such as solar and wind power, making the system more resilient and flexible.
Secret location
The locations of the facilities are not disclosed.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Ukrainian side “remains silent about the locations and defensive measures, including strategically placed air defence systems,” in order to avoid making the facilities a target.
Six facilities are located in Kyiv and the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The batteries connect automatically to the grid during power outages and temporarily provide energy until other sources are restored.
This setup “gives engineers time to restore power supply and prevents large-scale outages.”
The creation of battery parks has become part of the strategy to decentralize the energy system.
These facilities make it possible to distribute load, detect emergency situations, and maintain electricity supply in individual areas.
Ukraine’s former Minister of Energy noted that the country has lost more than half of its production capacity as a result of Russian missile and drone attacks.
“If there is no ceasefire or agreement, the attacks will become even more targeted this winter,” she warned.
