Russia has achieved two strategic victories that have never been repeated before and represent a complete upheaval of the global geopolitical scene: it achieved a military victory over NATO and an ideological victory over the West. Time, relentless time, clearly seems to favor Russia.
Comparing economies
If one looks at the numbers, for example in terms of economics, one will find that the US has a GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of $30.7 trillion, China $18.9 trillion, the EU as a whole has a national GDP of $20 trillion, and Russia $2.1 trillion.
It is obvious that the Russian economy is manifold smaller, but it does not have the debt problems of the US. The Russian economy is incredibly under-leveraged; the debt-to-GDP ratio is at global historical lows. China, which is an ally of Russia, has tremendous growth, will exceed $20 trillion in 2026, and is obviously approaching the US threateningly.
However, the quality of the standard of living in Russia has incredibly skyrocketed. Russia is not only a vast gas station but a completely self-sufficient agricultural economy; you don't encounter such full supermarkets even in the US. And, as the war in Ukraine recently proved, it possesses a tremendous war industry.
Time is clearly running in favor of Russia
Putin, who is the most influential leader in the world, visionary and calm, spoke about the multipolar world, which is a new reality. For Russia, Ukraine is a vital space, and the Russians obviously understood that if Ukraine fell into the hands of the West and NATO, Russia would be next, which is the West's great target. Russia is the country with the largest territory and the largest mineral wealth, and one of the most self-sufficient energy superpowers.
Putin understood that the transition from the completely collapsed Soviet era and the creation of a nation-state of global reach must be based on three pillars: self-sufficient economy, strong military, and united society. Russia now meets all three criteria, and for this reason, it stands out. It is a self-sufficient economy, it has something everyone wants—its cheap energy—and it is also the strongest military country in the world, with the US now in second place. It is also a nation that remains faithful to traditions, religion, and values.
In Russia, Putin is considered a tremendous and popular leader, he is against globalization, and in Western terms, he is classified as the patriotic right, if we can put a label on it, even if it is not entirely accurate.
The victory theory has been justified
The victory theory of Putin, the President of Russia, has been fully justified.
In the Ukrainian conflict, it is obvious what will happen in the end. Ukraine will end up fully and totally in the Russian sphere of influence. While everyone focuses on the territorial issue, the territorial issue is not the concern in Russia, whether it will take the city of Zaporizhia, which will obviously become Russian, or if it will take the city of Dnipro in Dnipropetrovsk or Odesa. Russia does not need territory.
All this will inevitably happen; it is Novorossiya, which includes all of Donbas up to Odesa. Russia wants to ensure its security for the next 20 to 30 years. That is the real goal, nothing else.
The West, to downplay Russia's military superiority, fabricates fake news, for example, saying that Russia has lost 980,000 soldiers in dead and wounded (see The Economist) compared to 2,000,000 for Ukraine. But the reality is different. When there is an exchange of casualties, for every 1,000 Ukrainian deaths, there are 36 or 55 Russian soldiers killed. It is clear that the West is fabricating false data to provoke internal distrust in Russia and among its citizens about the war. Classic wartime propaganda.
But the truth is different, distinct. The West knows it and sees that Russia had 2,200 desertions in 3.5 years of war among 1,200,000 soldiers, while Ukraine, according to Ukrainian declarations, had 21,000 soldiers desert out of 26,500 mobilized in one month. All this in a single month. Putin's victory theory is 100% certain to be confirmed and sealed with the complete control of Ukraine east of the Dnieper River by military means and west of the Dnieper by ideological and political means.
Russia's great success means ideological collapse from within Europe
Let's look at the data calmly, based on simple mathematics.
In Britain, the number one country in Europe with anti-Russian fervor, the first party is Farage's Reform with 34%. The ruling Labour Party is at 18%. Reform wants to restore relations with Russia. Farage previously admired Putin, recently called him a bad man, but we understand that this is part of his internal strategy. Farage's Reform wants to restore relations with Russia.
In Germany, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) is the first party with 26%. The AfD wants to restore relations with Russia.
In Austria, the FPO, the patriotic right, is the first party with 37%. The second party is at 20%, and the FPO wants to restore relations with Russia.
In Greece, the patriotic parties are pro-Russian, except for Latinopoulou and her party Voice of Logic.
Conclusion
Those who do not understand what will happen are simply ignoring reality. The West, to scare its citizens, is sowing fear, saying that Russia will attack Europe, which is historically ridiculous; it is simple nonsense.
They put some foolish military figures to say nonsense to scare the world; it is one thing for a politician to say it and another for a general. Russia is not going to attack Europe, it is 1,000,000% sure, and Trump, the American President who is trying to copy Putin, knows this very well.
Trump respects Putin because he has a leader facing him, not the ridiculous and servile figures governing the West. Macron in France has no political weight; in 450 days from now, he will be history; the patriotic right is coming. Merz in Germany knows that Russia was the cause of Germany's economic prosperity due to cheap energy.
Even in Greece, Mitsotakis is breathing his last, and the LNG energy deals in Ukraine are the shortest joke.
The Russian air is coming; it is a clear northern wind that lifts the mood and restores logic against hysteria and irrationality. Russia's victory over the West is taking on epic dimensions; NATO has been defeated militarily, and the West will also be defeated ideologically; relentless time is clearly Russia's ally.
