Kim Jong Un emphasized the unique importance of his personal relationship with the Russian President and pledged lasting and absolute support for Vladimir Putin’s policies.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent a reply letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, pledging to continue the cooperation between Russia and North Korea across multiple sectors, according to a report by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Strategic partnership without deviations
"Our close cooperation will continue in various fields, in full harmony with the spirit of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation, the strategic interests of the two countries, as well as the expectations and will of the two peoples," the letter stated, as reported by KCNA.
Eternal and unconditional support for Putin
Kim Jong Un also underlined the unique significance of his personal ties with the Russian leader and committed to the enduring and total backing of Vladimir Putin’s agenda. "I will absolutely respect and unconditionally support all the policies you pursue and all the decisions you make, and I am ready to always stand with you and with your Russia. This choice is unchangeable and will remain eternal," the KCNA reported, citing the contents of the letter. This correspondence confirms the further deepening of Moscow–Pyongyang relations during a period of intense geopolitical shifts and increasing confrontation with the West.
